Choice Of Lubricants

The reducer should be filled with the appropriate oil to the center of the oil gauge before putting in operation. Excessive oil levels result in higher operating temperatures which is as undesirable as using too little oil.
After approximately 24 hours of operation the reducer must be drained, flushed thoroughly with light oil, and refilled with fresh recommended oil. This flushing and refilling should be repeated y 2000 to 2500 hours.
